Anarchist Developments in Cultural Studies Vol. 2026 No. 1 (2026): 24-37.
In Fall 2025, I wrote this article on Luis Jacob’s two-part exhibition at Mercer Union and Hearth, The Order of Canada (I’ll be your Mirror) and The Order of Canada (I’ll be your Toilet) respectively (both Fall 2025). The journal states: “This issue of Anarchist Developments in Cultural Studies focuses on Indigenous curator Wanda Nanibush’s dismissal from the Art Gallery of Ontario (Toronto, Canada) in November 2023 for protesting Israeli actions in Palestine, and the repression of dissenting voices in the Toronto arts community. Guest edited by anarchist artist Luis Jacob (Assistant Professor, University of Toronto), the issue pivots on two exhibitions, The Order of Canada (I’ll be your Mirror) and The Order of Canada (I’ll be your Toilet).”
